DCAF Ministerial Meeting

MARRI RC participated at the Seventh Annual Ministerial Review Conference on Cooperation in the Field of Border Security in South-East Europe.

MARRI RC Director, Mr. Trpe Stojanovski, participated at the Seventh Annual Ministerial Review Conference on Cooperation in the Field of Border Security in South-East Europe, held in Tirana, on 4-6 March 2010, where he delivered a presentation on MARRI achievements in 2009 and the MARRI priorities in 2010 regarding the regional co-operation.

The Conference was hosted by the Ministry of Interior of the Republic of Albania and the Geneva Centre for the Democratic Control of Armed Forces (DCAF).

In the Declaration approved by the Conference, among other things, the urgency for “…the European Union to expedite the decision-making to grant the visa liberalization regime to Albania and Bosnia and Herzegovina as soon as possible” was stressed.
